Fakenham's town centre is decorated
with lights each Christmas, creating a festive atmosphere
for shoppers and workers alike. They not only brighten
up the streets and shops, but provide some positive
PR for the town and a chance for the media to cover
the switch-on event and Fakenham's attractions.
2008's Christmas Light Switch on
will take place on November 22nd.
In 2007, the Chamber of Trade made
another donation this year towards the town's Christmas
lights to Fakenham Town Council, who organize the event.
In addition, the Chamber has purchased
several sets of street lights and the associated transformers
which are supplied free of charge to members who wish
to display them outside their premises. Members with
retail premises should contact a Chamber committee member
who will advise them regarding usage and availability.
