Nina celebrates passing exams

Young business professional Nina Jermy is celebrating after passing her chartered tax exams.
Nina joined chartered accountants and business advisors Larking Gowen in 2007 and is based at the firm’s Fakenham office, where she is the resident tax specialist.
Larking Gowen Chairman, David Whitehead, and Human Resources Executive, Julie Best, invited Nina, and all the other successful students from the firm’s offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, to a congratulatory lunch to mark their achievement.
“I am thrilled to have completed my exams, and achieve chartered tax advisor status. I enjoy the analytical side of accounts, and find the constant changes in tax legislation an interesting challenge,” said Nina.
Julie Best commented, “This is the third lunch we have held this year, to formally recognise the efforts our trainees have made in studying for these tough exams, and I am very proud of them all.
“Staff training, qualifications and personal recognition continue to remain important values within the firm.”
Nina lives in Cawston and enjoys playing squash and walking and is also currently chairman of Norwich Castle Ladies’ Circle Group.
Double celebration for Nicola Slegg

Nicola Slegg from chartered accountants and business advisors Larking Gowen has cause for a double celebration, as she has been promoted to the post of Senior Manager at its Fakenham office, and recently got married.
Nicola Slegg from chartered accountants and business advisors Larking Gowen has cause for a double celebration, as she has been promoted to the post of Senior Manager at its Fakenham office, and recently got married.
Mrs Slegg joined Larking Gowen in 1994 as a trainee, qualifying with the firm as a chartered accountant in 1998.
In her new role, Nicola will be responsible for overseeing general practice and managing a large portfolio of clients of small to medium sized businesses and local charities. Nicola is also one of the firm’s specialists in Sage accountancy software.
“The last few months have been very rewarding for me, both professionally and personally. Having just got married, it was great to receive a promotion and I look forward to further developing my career within the firm,” commented Nicola.
Nicola Slegg lives in East Rudham with her husband Ian and their two young children who keep them very busy in their spare-time. |
